As many as 434 Indian expatriates from the Gulf have won big at Mahzooz’s 111th Super Saturday draws held on January 14, 2023.
The second prize of Dh1 million was distributed among 22 winners of various nationalities, and 984 participants received the third prize of Dh350 each. Three winners from India shared the raffle prize of Dh300,000.
“Indian participants make up the largest customer base for Mahzooz and last week’s draws were a reflection of this reality”, said Farid Samji, CEO of EWINGS, managing operator of Mahzooz.
“43% of last week’s winners were Indians who participated from within and outside the UAE”, he added.
The winning raffle IDs belonged to Mohamed, Sooryajith, and Santhosh.
Mahzooz Lottery, formerly known as the Emirates Loto, has two draws a week called Fantastic Friday and Super Saturday. Mahzooz means ‘lucky’ in Arabic (مهزوز); or महज़ूज़ in Hindi. With a starting jackpot of AED 10,000,000 and three guaranteed raffle winners of at least AED 100,000 players will surely hope that the good fortune rubs off on them. Emirates Loto was the UAE’s first lottery and began in April 2020, offering an AED 35,000,000 jackpot. This amount was then increased to AED 50,000,000, before being lowered to the current mark of AED 10,000,000 when the raffle draw was introduced which gives three players AED 100,000 every week.A Friday draw was then added on 18th November 2022 to give all players an additional draw to win prizes in.
