Saravanaa Bhavan Opens Seventh Outlet in Malaysia with Grand Launch in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur: The globally renowned vegetarian restaurant chain Saravanaa Bhavan marked a major milestone with the grand opening of its newest outlet in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, its seventh location in Malaysia, further strengthening its presence in the country and across international markets.
The new outlet, located at 435, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Sentul, near the Sentul Barat MRT station, was inaugurated on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 7:00 PM, in a vibrant ceremony attended by distinguished guests, community leaders, and food enthusiasts. The launch event featured cultural performances, entertainment, and an elaborate spread of traditional Indian vegetarian cuisine.
The inauguration took place in the presence of Shiva Kumaar, Chairman and Managing Director, Brand Owner and Franchisor of Saravanaa Bhavan Corporation FZE, Dubai. The event’s Guest of Honour was Datuk T. Mohan, Chairman of the Camp Village Branch of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), former Senator, and Chairman of the Malaysian Indian Sports and Cultural Foundation (MISCF).
The ceremony was hosted by Revathy Mariappan, who served as the Master of Ceremonies, guiding the evening that brought together members of the Indian diaspora and local Malaysian community. The event highlighted not only the brand’s culinary legacy but also its cultural significance as a global ambassador of Indian vegetarian cuisine.
Saravanaa Bhavan, widely recognized as the world’s No.1 Indian vegetarian restaurant chain, now operates in over 30 countries with more than 100 branches worldwide. Its expansion into Sentul marks its seventh outlet in Malaysia, joining its established presence in areas such as Brickfields and Bangsar.
The new Sentul outlet aims to cater to the growing demand for authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine, particularly among residents in and around the area who have long sought easier access to the brand’s offerings. The strategic location near a major transit point is expected to further boost footfall and accessibility.
Speaking at the event, representatives emphasized the company’s commitment to quality, authenticity, and customer experience, while also celebrating the cultural roots that define the Saravanaa Bhavan identity.
