British Asians Shine in LDC’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders of 2024. The LDC Top 50 for 2024 has spotlighted some of the most dynamic business leaders across the UK, including several prominent British Asians. The list, unveiled by LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, showcases entrepreneurs driving growth, creating jobs, and making a lasting impact in their industries. These trailblazers are recognized for their dedication to sustainability, expanding globally, and prioritizing employee well-being.

As featured in The Times, the 2024 Top 50 highlights individuals shaping the future of UK business. Below are some of the standout British Asian leaders who have earned their spot on this prestigious list.

British Asians

Younis Chaudhry, CEO of Regal Food Products Group, built a £40 million food empire after starting from scratch in 2009. Today, Regal supplies products to major retailers like Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, and Sainsbury’s, with 10% of its revenue coming from exports.

Tiku Chauhan and Kavita Parmar, founders of Word360, took over a small translation business in 2013. Through their leadership, the company has grown into a major partner in health and social care, offering critical language support across the UK with a network of 15,000 linguists covering 450 languages.

Ram Gupta, founder of Nybble, has focused on building a diverse team at his tech firm. Since its inception in 1998, Nybble has evolved from an IT retailer into a multi-million-pound managed service provider for the automotive and manufacturing sectors, with plans to grow by 30% next year.

Ankit Modani, Director of Nustone, turned around a struggling paving stone retailer after purchasing it in 2020. He revitalized the company by expanding its product lines and improving customer service, with Nustone now set to reach £25 million in turnover this year.

Sat Sanghera, CEO of IPI, has led the contact centre specialist to double its size since 2019. Sanghera was honored with ‘The People Award’ for his dedication to building a strong workplace culture.

Individual Award Winners

In addition to Sat Sanghera, Diptesh Patel, founder and CEO of UBDS Group, was honored with ‘The Alumni Award’. Since being featured in the LDC Top 50 in 2022, UBDS has nearly tripled its workforce and is projected to achieve £35 million in turnover by 2026.

  • Vinod Kakkar, Managing Director of Citycom, which manages the complexities of mobile, fixed-line, broadband, and cloud services.
