CM Reddy Promotes Telangana as ‘Future State’ in Silicon Valley. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made a compelling case for his state’s future at an AI business roundtable hosted by the Indian Consulate General in San Francisco on August 9. Addressing a distinguished gathering of CEOs from leading tech companies, CM Reddy described Telangana as “The Future State,” highlighting transformative projects such as the AI City, Net Zero Future City, and a comprehensive reimagining of Hyderabad.

Speaking about the government’s vision for Telangana’s future, CM Reddy stated, “In America, every state has a motto. New York’s is ‘Out of many, one.’ Texas is known as the Lone Star State. California has a motto, ‘Eureka.’ In India, we don’t have a motto for a state. But I would now like to give my state – Telangana – a motto. My state Telangana can be called – The Future State.” He invited the global tech community to collaborate with Telangana, saying, “I invite you to Telangana. I invite you to the future. Together, let us make the future.” This call to action received enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Pitch for Diaspora Investments

During his visit to Texas, CM Reddy, along with Industries, Commerce, and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, addressed a gathering hosted by the Dallas IT Serve Alliance, a leading organization for IT services in the United States. The ministers emphasized the immense opportunities in Telangana, particularly in Hyderabad, urging the Indian tech diaspora to invest and take part in the state’s ambitious projects.

“We have built Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad over the years. Now, let us all join in making a world-class fourth city, the Future City. When you invest in Hyderabad now, you are clearly investing in the future,” CM Reddy stated.

Minister Sridhar Babu detailed key projects, including the extension of the metro network, the rejuvenation of the River Musi, and the establishment of the Future City. He emphasized the state’s commitment to balancing technological advancement with sustainable development, positioning Hyderabad as a global hub for future tech, particularly in AI, within a Net Zero impact urban environment.

Vision for a $1 Trillion Economy

Minister Sridhar Babu also reiterated Telangana’s ambitious goal of transforming into a US $1 trillion economy within the next decade. He called on the diaspora to play a significant role in this vision, highlighting the state’s strategy to boost service sector growth in Tier-II towns while enhancing the manufacturing sector.

Homage to Mahatma Gandhi

In a symbolic gesture, CM Revanth Reddy, along with Ministers D. Sridhar Babu and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, paid homage to the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Dallas on August 7. The tribute underscored the state delegation’s commitment to Gandhian values as they embarked on their mission to foster global partnerships for Telangana’s growth.

Telangana’s bold vision as the “Future State” is setting the stage for a new era of innovation and prosperity, with a strong focus on sustainable development and technological leadership. This vision aims to transform the state into a beacon of progress and a leader in the global tech landscape.
