Hyderabadi Diaspora Invited as Sunrise High School Gears Up for Ceremonial Sports Event at Gachibowli Stadium: Sunrise High School, Mehdipatnam, known for nurturing minds and shaping hearts since 1958, is gearing up to host its grand Ceremonial Sports Event on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. The event will commence at 2:00 PM.

The grounds may have changed, but the spirit of Sunrise remains the same. This much-awaited gathering will bring together over 1,500 to 2,000 attendees, including students, educators, families, and alumni from across the world. Notably, several alumni are flying in from abroad, reflecting the enduring bond the Hyderabadi diaspora holds with their alma mater.

The ceremonial event will showcase coordinated student formations, elegant presentations, and a heartfelt tribute segment, all celebrating the school’s legacy of discipline, unity, and pride. In a moment of reflection, the gathering will honour the life and contributions of Mrs. Adeeb Muneer Saheba (1945–2025), a revered educator who profoundly shaped generations of Sunrise students. Although sports-themed, the tribute will seamlessly blend into the ceremonial fabric, making it a meaningful occasion for all attendees.

Sunrise alumni have made their mark globally, working with prestigious organisations such as Microsoft, Amazon, DocuSign, TCS, IBM, and many more. From advocates, educators, doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs to technology leaders, they continue to uphold the values instilled at Sunrise High School. Indeed, this event is set to reconnect the Hyderabadi diaspora, celebrating their shared roots and achievements.

Yousuf Khan, founder of Magic Klean Laundry and a proud alumnus, shared, “It is the school which gave us the platform to learn and excel in life. I would like to invite fellow alumni to join in person or virtually. It would be a great opportunity to reconnect.”

Principal Mrs. Simeen Muneer, who has led the institution since 2010, continues to carry forward her mother’s vision. She shared with emotion, “Her legacy continues to live on through her students, staff, and the extended family. So let’s come together and celebrate the life she lived not for herself, but for all of us.”

An alumna, Dr. Nazia (Batch of 1999), reflected, “Her true measure is not the years she served, but the lives she transformed with love, care, and affection — countless in number.”

To all Sunrise alumni around the globe, this is your moment to reconnect with the roots that shaped your journey.
