Indian School Darsait Educators Shine in Teaching Excellence at Navin Asher Kazi Awards Ceremony 2025–26: Educators from Indian School Darsait earned distinguished recognition at the prestigious Navin Asher Kazi Awards Ceremony for Excellence in Teaching 2025–26, held at Indian School Muscat on January 28. The ceremony celebrated exceptional teachers from Indian Schools across Oman, recognizing their dedication, innovation, and lasting impact on student learning.

The event was graced by Shri Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Secretary of CBSE, India, who attended as Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker. The ceremony also saw the presence of senior dignitaries from the Ministry of Education, Sultanate of Oman, and CBSE regional leadership. Presided over by Shri Syed Ahmad Salman, Chairman of the Board of Directors, the evening highlighted the shared commitment to educational excellence and transformative teaching practices.
Indian School Darsait proudly announced that Mrs. Khan Sameena Mannan (Foundation Stage) and Mrs. Bindu Ranjit (Preparatory Stage) were honoured with the Excellence in Teaching Awards, marking a significant achievement for the institution.

In addition, several educators from Indian School Darsait received Certificates of Recognition for their outstanding contributions. From the Foundation Stage, the awardees included Mrs. Leena Girish, Mrs. Asiya Tabassum, and Mrs. Icchapurapu Gayatri Aparna. Representing the Preparatory Stage were Mrs. Lakshmi Shekhawat, Mrs. Sindhu Kadangot, Mrs. Bindu Suresh Kumar, and Mrs. Divya Hareesha Poojary. Mrs. Harjinder Kaur Hara was recognized from the Middle Section, while Mrs. Fathima P. Aliyar received honours from the Senior Section. Ms. Naosheen Zaman, serving as Special Educator and Counsellor, was also acknowledged for her dedicated service.
Adding to the school’s accolades, Mrs. Sowmya Nair secured Third Position in the competition category under the theme “Transformative Teaching – Changing Lives Beyond the Classroom,” reinforcing Indian School Darsait’s commitment to holistic and impactful education.
The occasion was further marked by the Long Service Recognition Award being bestowed upon the school’s Principal, Mr. Amar Srivastava, in appreciation of his sustained leadership and contribution to the institution.
Congratulating the awardees, Mr. Shalimar Moideen, President of the School Management Committee (SMC), said that the achievements of the teachers reflect the school’s strong vision and culture of excellence. He encouraged educators to continue inspiring students with passion, integrity, and care. He was joined by Mr. Shebeer Shamsuddin, Convenor, SMC, and Dr. Ashish Rastogi, Head of the Centre of Excellence in Learning and Teaching Subcommittee, SMC, whose presence added pride and encouragement to the celebration.
The School Management Committee, along with the Principal and the entire school community, celebrated this proud milestone and reaffirmed Indian School Darsait’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning, strengthening its reputation as a leading institution in the Indian school education landscape in Oman.
