Kennesaw State Receives $100,000 Marketing Scholarship from Dr. Jagdish and Madhuri Sheth: Kennesaw State University business students are set to benefit from a new scholarship established by Jagdish “Jag” and Madhuri “Madhu” Sheth. The couple, long-time champions of education, have donated $100,000 to create the Madhuri and Jagdish N. Sheth Marketing Scholarship at the Michael J. Coles College of Business.

Indeed, this scholarship will open doors for undergraduate business students, especially first-generation learners, enabling them to thrive academically without financial constraints. The Sheths’ generous gift reflects their deep commitment to nurturing future leaders and fostering a stronger university community.

“Dr. Sheth’s influence extends far beyond his publications and teaching. His mentorship has transformed the lives of countless students, faculty, and business leaders,” said Mona Sinha, chair of the Department of Marketing and Professional Sales. “His visionary ideas continue to impact academia, business, and even governments. His contributions and philanthropy have been transformative for marketing and beyond.”

Jag Sheth is a world-renowned scholar known for his expertise in relationship marketing and customer centricity. Having authored more than 300 works, he has earned international recognition, including India’s prestigious Padma Bhushan Award for literature and education.

His journey from an international graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh in 1961 to a faculty member at Columbia University in 1963, and later as the Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Business at Emory University since 1991, showcases his dedication to academic excellence and cultural exchange.

Meanwhile, Madhu Sheth, a former schoolteacher in India, remains passionate about education and community service. She actively supports the local Jain Center, where she chairs the construction committee to expand its capacity. Furthermore, she plays a key role on the women’s committee of JAINA, the federation of Jain Centers across North America, inviting speakers on topics ranging from holistic medicine to financial planning, cryptocurrency, and AI.

Previously, the Sheths established the Sheth International Distinguished Alumni Award and the Madhuri and Jagdish N. Sheth Faculty Award for Distinguished International Achievement at KSU. These awards honor alumni and faculty who demonstrate humanitarian service and global leadership, furthering the university’s mission to cultivate responsible, culturally aware leaders.

“I am immensely proud of Dr. Sheth’s contributions to Kennesaw State University and the Coles College of Business,” said Vice Provost Sheb True. “His impact on our faculty’s scholarship and our reach into the business and academic communities, both locally and internationally, has been remarkable.”

Through their latest endowment, the Sheths continue to leave an indelible mark on KSU, championing education as a catalyst for opportunity and positive change.
