Spain Honors ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ Producer with Order of Civil Merit. Spain has awarded Ankur Garg, producer of the hit film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, with the prestigious Order of Civil Merit. The honor was conferred during a grand ceremony. highlighting Garg’s contributions to fostering ties between India and Spain through cinema.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, directed by Luv Ranjan, made its theatrical debut in March 2023 and quickly garnered attention. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, the film was extensively shot across the picturesque landscapes of Spain. The movie showcases the country’s beauty to a wider Indian audience.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh broke the news on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). emphasizing that Garg received this award for “promoting cultural exchange between India and Spain.” In his post, he shared an image from the award ceremony, further underlining the importance of Garg’s achievements.

Garg, co-founder of Luv Films, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating. “I am deeply honoured to receive the prestigious La Cruz de la Orden del Mérito Civil from Spain. Collaborating with everyone in Spain on Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar was an amazing experience, enhanced by their support. I remain committed to fostering cultural dialogue between our nations.”

Spanish Ambassador to India, H.E. Juan Antonio March Pujol, who presented the award, praised Garg’s work. He remarked, “His efforts have brought Spain closer to the Indian public. Tens of millions of Indians know a little more about our country thanks to his commendable efforts, even amidst the challenges posed by Covid. His success highlights the immense potential for collaboration between Spain and India.”

Apart from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Garg and Ranjan have also produced successful films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, De De Pyaar De, and Jai Mummy Di under the Luv Films banner.

As the cultural dialogue between the two nations continues to flourish, this recognition not only honors Garg’s individual achievements but also sets the stage for future collaborations in the world of cinema.
