UK’s First State-Funded Hindu School, Krishna Avanti Primary, Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted: Krishna Avanti Primary School, the UK’s first state-funded Hindu school in Camrose Avenue, Edgware, has achieved an “Outstanding” rating across all areas in its latest Ofsted inspection conducted on June 24–25, 2025. Inspectors praised the school for its exceptional teaching, visionary leadership, and nurturing environment, highlighting its mission to develop “spiritually compassionate changemakers.”

Excellence in Teaching and Leadership
Ofsted’s report emphasized that students at Krishna Avanti Primary thrive academically and socially, meeting high expectations regardless of their background. Inspectors noted the calm and productive behaviour of students, who consistently demonstrate courtesy, respect, and responsibility. Leadership opportunities such as the school council, arts council, and ‘eco warriors’ program further cultivate a caring and inclusive school culture.
The broad and ambitious curriculum impressed inspectors, with a particular focus on early literacy and mathematics. Teachers were commended for their strong subject knowledge and consistency in instruction. Moreover, the school’s targeted support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) ensures all learners can fully engage with the curriculum.
