USA Men’s Cricket qualifies for World Cup, Board Congratulates

USA

The USA Cricket board congratulates its men’s national team players and the coaching staff for topping the table at the ICC Cricket world cup qualifiers play-off in Namibia and qualifying for the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers to be held in June in Zimbabwe.

It was a total team effort throughout the tournament. Some brilliant individual performances, such as Ali Khan’s 7fer in the final game against Jersey, the best bowling figures by a fast bowler in Associate cricket, and Sai Teja’s brilliant 120* against UAE to achieve the highest ever successful run chase by the USA National team. There were valuable contributions with the bat from Steven Taylor, Sushanth Modani, Monank Patel, Aaron Jones, and Gajanand Singh, and all-round contributions from Jessy Singh, Nisarg Patel, and Noshtosh Kenjige and not forgetting the contributions with the ball from our ever-dependable Saurabh Netravalkar. The players who could not get game time, their contributions to this achievement are invaluable.

Notable mentions to the coaching/Support staff led by Kevin Darlington and our skipper Monank Patel in leading our national team toward this monumental achievement.

The preparations for this all-important event were essential, and the USAC would like to thank the KSCA, Bangalore, India, and Cricket Namibia for their support.

The USAC board appreciates the continued support from the community and the USAC fans toward its national teams. We look forward to many more accomplishments from our men’s national team at the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in June in Zimbabwe.
