9th Bangladesh Festival Set to Bring Together Bangladeshi Community in Toronto: One of the largest indoor gatherings of the Bangladeshi community in Canada is set to take place later this month as the ABA Support Services Presents 9th Bangladesh Festival prepares to return to Toronto on May 16, 2026.
The festival will be held at the Toronto International Pavilion and is being organized by Weekly Bangla Mail. Organizers say the annual event has evolved into one of the most significant cultural and community gatherings for Bangladeshis living in Canada.
Now in its ninth consecutive year, the festival is expected to feature a wide range of attractions including cultural performances, business exhibitions, community networking opportunities, Bangladeshi cuisine, fashion displays, books, and participation from various social and community initiatives.
Organizers noted that this year’s edition has been designed with additional attractions and expanded programming. Particular excitement has been generated among younger attendees due to the participation of popular music artists Muza and Arzin.
Guests, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and organizers from different cities across Canada are also expected to attend the festival.
Shahidul Islam Mintu, editor of Weekly Bangla Mail and CEO of NRB TV, said the Bangladesh Festival has become an important platform for the community.
“The Bangladesh Festival is now a matter of pride for our community,” he said. “It is not only an entertainment event, but also a major initiative to connect the younger generation with Bangla culture and heritage.”
He added that this year’s festival has been dedicated to support service workers and stakeholders working in the fields of autism and mental health.
Organizers stated that ticket sales are nearing full capacity and indicated that, similar to previous years, the event is expected to sell out before the festival date.
The festival will take place on Saturday, May 16, at Toronto International Pavilion, located at 190 Railside Road in Toronto.
