Gold Care Homes CEO Secures £18.2m OakNorth Loan to Acquire Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor: Sukhi Gidar, CEO and co-founder of Gold Care Homes, has secured an £18.2 million loan from digital bank OakNorth. The financing will support the acquisition of the 382-key Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor, a prominent property situated between Heathrow Airport and Windsor.

Gidar brings over 25 years of property and operational expertise, having built one of the UK’s most recognized care home groups. Since launching Gold Care Homes in 1999 from a single site in Hertfordshire, the company now operates 45 care homes supporting more than 3,000 residents.

The newly acquired hotel features contemporary guest rooms, extensive food and beverage outlets, and a leisure club. It has recently undergone significant refurbishment, including upgrades to guestrooms, meeting spaces, and building infrastructure, putting it in a strong position for future growth.

Transitioning into this acquisition, Gidar highlighted the strategic importance of the deal. He stated:
“This acquisition represents a significant step in our expansion into the hospitality sector. The hotel’s location, operational potential and strong brand made it an ideal opportunity, and we see clear avenues for enhancing both guest experience and long-term performance.

He further noted OakNorth’s role in the transaction:
OakNorth demonstrated a deep understanding of our vision and moved quickly to structure a facility that supported our objectives. We’re delighted to have partnered with them on this transaction.

From OakNorth’s side, Deepesh Thakrar, managing director of debt finance, praised Gidar’s proven business acumen:
Sukhi has a long-established track record of building and operating high-quality real estate assets, and his experience positions him well to unlock the full potential of this hotel.

Thakrar also emphasized the strategic timing of the deal, adding:
“With 2025 Heathrow passenger volumes forecast to surpass the airport’s record-breaking 2024 levels, demand for high-quality accommodation in the local market continues to strengthen. The Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor is therefore exceptionally well placed, benefiting from its scale, brand and strategic location.”

OakNorth expressed confidence in the acquisition and looks forward to the hotel’s continued success under Gidar’s leadership.

Gold Care Homes, founded by pharmacist brothers Ravi and Sukhi Gidar, has transformed the care sector for over 25 years. Ravi serves as Chairman, while Sukhi leads the company’s property strategy. Both bring more than 50 years of combined experience and actively support industry leadership—Sukhi is a board member of the National Care Association, and Ravi serves as Vice-Chair of the Hertfordshire Care Providers Association.

The acquisition signals a strategic extension of the Gold Care Homes legacy, now entering the hospitality industry with a major branded asset and the backing of a strong financial partner.
