GOPIO Edsion hosts immigration seminar

The Edison Chapter of the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) hosted an immigration seminar at the North Edison Public Library in Edison, New Jersey.

Three highly regarded attorneys served as panelists at the event to provide expert insights, guidance, and answers to pressing immigration questions. People from all walks of life who had many complex questions about the US immigration process and their options attended the event, which provided invaluable resources and information for those navigating the complex landscape of US immigration.

Topics covered included various types of US visas, Green Card application processes, immigration policy updates, the diversity visa lottery program, and so on. Visa holders, aspiring green card applicants, and employers navigating the complexities of hiring foreign talent raised concerns.

Pallavi Verma, president of the GOPIO-Edison chapter moderated the entire event. GOPIO International associate secretary Chitranjan Sahay Belwariar, who is also a Board member on multiple GOPIO chapters, gave the inbtroductory remarks and made the audience aware of the aim and mission of the organization. GOPIO is a global network of Indian-origin people who represent the interests and concerns of the Indian diaspora around the world.

The GOPIO Edison Chapter serves the community of Edison, New Jersey, by organizing events, seminars, and initiatives to improve the well-being of Indian Americans and promote cultural exchange.
