Yorkshire-based Regal Food Products Group Plc has announced its acquisition of Love Cheesecakes, an artisan cheesecake maker known for its handcrafted delicacies. This acquisition promises to broaden Regal’s offerings in the food service and wholesale markets.
Love Cheesecakes, based in Lancaster, specializes in producing over 100 varieties of premium cheesecakes. They cater to wholesale, food services, and the hospitality sector. Known for its focus on single-serve and canapé-style cheesecakes. the bakery also engages directly with consumers through event catering, festival participation, and a robust online presence.
The company’s breakthrough moment came in 2020 when it appeared on the popular television show Dragons’ Den, which significantly boosted its online visibility. Today, Love Cheesecakes operates on several e-commerce platforms, emphasizing gifting and allowing customers to enjoy their doorstep desserts at home.
This acquisition follows Regal’s purchase of Just Desserts Yorkshire in 2022 and Love Handmade Cakes. These strategic moves underscore Regal’s commitment to expanding its dessert range.
