In a significant development, Ashfaq Syed has been appointed as the new President of the Naperville Public Library Board, taking over the reins on July 19th, 2023. Expressing gratitude for the appointment, Syed conveyed his appreciation to the Board of Trustees for placing their confidence and trust in him to shoulder this crucial responsibility.
“Naperville Public Library has been named the No. 1 Public Library in the U.S. in the 100,000 – 250,000 population category for the last 10 years and has been a beacon of pride for the entire community,” stated the newly appointed President, highlighting the library’s remarkable achievements.
“I take this opportunity to thank the Board of Trustees of the Library for their confidence and trust in me to carry this important responsibility,” Ashfaq Syed said with enthusiasm.
