Asian African Business Summit On ‘Redefining Sustainable Leadership & Building International Trade’

The inaugural Asian African Business Summit took place in Pune, India, on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023. This ground-breaking event on the theme of ‘Redefining Sustainable Leadership & Building International Trade’, brought together visionary leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators from various
domains and business sectors to explore opportunities for economic growth, innovation, and sustainable development through cross-continental collaboration.

Hosted at the prestigious Hotel Arora Towers in the vibrant city of Pune, the Summit proved to be a platform where delegates could engage in meaningful discussions, built strategic partnerships, and gained valuable insights into emerging markets and industries. The summit aimed at bridging cultural and geographical gaps, fostering a spirit of cooperation that transcends borders.

The Founder & Chairman of AACCI, Dr. GD Singh asserted in his key note address on mutual cooperation and collaboration amongst chambers and associations with similar objectives of inclusive growth through collective actions. He highlighted the fast growth of AACCI in Asia and Africa through its chapter offices and praised the presidents and other office bearers for their immense contribution.

His views were supported by the Secretary General of the chamber, Dr. Neetu Singh who emphasized on Asia and Africa being home to some of the world’s fastest-growing economies, where the possibilities for collaboration are endless. She further stated that the chamber’s objective is to shine a spotlight on the boundless trade opportunities that lie at the crossroads of these two continents.

Earlier, the chapter President, Brajesh Kumar welcomed all guests and dignitaries through his maiden welcome speech. He assured that the Maharashtra chapter would keep abreast of the long strides that AACCI intends to take in its endeavour to connect the two continents through business network.

The other dignitaries present were Jamshed Mistry- Counsel, Supreme Court of India and Founder, International Legal Alliance; Mr. H P Srivastava – Director of Trident International Pvt Ltd & Vice Chairman of Deccan Chamber of Commerce; Nabomita Mazumdar – Founder of Nabomita .Com; Raghunath Medge – President of Mumbai Dabbawala Association; Manoj Kumar Singh – Zonal General Manager of The National small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC); Ganesh Chaudhari – Chief General Manager of Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Technology Limited and Usha Bajpai- Mahila Morcha National Incharge for Gem Portal Registration initiative.

The dignitaries expressed their views on the importance of sustainable development and collaborative actions which is a mandate in today’s fast changing environment. The summit also witnessed Business Awards bestowed upon the most deserving entrepreneurs and business owners whose accomplishments and achievements have surpassed all set standards.

This event was not just another gathering of business professionals; it was a platform where the brightest minds in the industry came together to unlock the vast potential of trade between Asia and Africa. It provided an opportunity for Networking where delegates had the chance to connect with potential business partners, investors, and government officials.
