Doha Resident Urooj Khan Embarks on a Thriving Acting Career with Inspector Avinash Web Series, While Preparing to Judge Miss and Mrs Asian Pacific Beauty 2023 in the Philippines Urooj Khan, an Indian expatriate residing in Doha, has been exceptionally occupied in recent weeks reports The Peninsula, Qatar.

Not only did she depart for The Philippines to serve as a judge for the prestigious Miss and Mrs Asian Pacific Beauty 2023, but she is also ecstatic about her debut in the world of acting with the release of the action-packed web series, Inspector Avinash.

Set in the 1990s, the series draws inspiration from the real-life accomplishments of Avinash Mishra, a renowned supercop from Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern India, who fearlessly confronted the arms mafia. Directed by Neeraj Pathak, Urooj portrays the character of Inspector Mamta Awasthi, starring alongside renowned actors Randeep Hooda and Urvashi Rautela.

When questioned about her experience working alongside co-star Randeep Hooda, who plays the lead role in the series, Urooj had much to share. “Working with the director and the entire crew has been an incredible experience. Randeep Hooda is an extremely professional actor.

He is punctual, well-prepared, and pays meticulous attention to detail. When you have the opportunity to work with such an actor, you truly enjoy your craft,” expresses the actress, who has been a resident of Qatar for the past 12 years. However, Urooj is no stranger to the world of glamour, as she serves as the brand ambassador of Mrs. India and was crowned Mrs. Asia Pacific Intercontinental 2018 in a competition held in Singapore, which featured 32 contestants from various countries. “After winning the pageant, I began receiving offers for different roles. I auditioned for Inspector Avinash in Mumbai, and things started falling into place after that,” Urooj reveals in an interview with The Peninsula.

Originally hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Urooj was raised in the financial hub of India, Mumbai. She considers herself blessed to have a supportive family who has consistently encouraged her pursuits. “It is essential for girls and women to believe in themselves and strive to boost their own confidence, regardless of the scale of their endeavors. We need to set goals and have faith in our abilities. I have missed out on numerous opportunities in the past due to self-doubt,” emphasizes the actress, offering words of inspiration.
