Indian Cultural Centre Hosts Grand Eid Bazaar & Mehndi Night in Qatar.  The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) celebrated Eid in grand style by organizing a two-day Eid Bazaar & Mehndi Night on 28th and 29th March 2025 at ICC Ashoka Hall. The vibrant event brought together the Indian community in Qatar for a festive evening of shopping, henna artistry, and cultural celebrations.

Inauguration by Distinguished Guests

The festivities commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by His Excellency Mr. Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar, who officially opened the event on 28th March 2025Dr. Vaibhav A. Tandale, Counsellor (Head of Chancery and Consular) from the Embassy of India, attended as the Guest of Honor.

ICC President Mr. A.P. Manikantan extended Eid Mubarak greetings to all attendees and expressed gratitude to the organizers, sponsors, and participants for making the event a success. ICC General Secretary Mr. Abraham K. Joseph warmly welcomed the gathering, while Mr. Sandeep Sriramareddy, ICC Head of IT & Social Media, delivered the Vote of Thanks.

Community Leaders and Cultural Showcase

The event saw the presence of prominent community leaders, including:

  • Mr. E.P. Abdurahman, President of the Indian Sports Centre (ISC)
  • Mr. Thaha Mohammed, President of the Indian Business & Professionals Council (IBPC)
  • Mr. Deepak Shetty, General Secretary of the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF)
  • Management Committee Members of ICC, ICBF, IBPC, and ISC

A Vibrant Shopping & Cultural Experience

The Eid Bazaar featured over 60 stalls offering:

  • Handicrafts & imitation jewelry
  • Leather products & traditional Indian attire
  • Delicious Indian street food & sweets

Guests also enjoyed live mehndi (henna) stations, where skilled artists created intricate designs, adding to the festive spirit.

Event Continues on Saturday – Join the Celebration!

The Eid Bazaar will remain open on Saturday, 29th March 2025, from 10 AM onwards. The ICC warmly invites all residents to visit with family and friends to experience the colours, flavours, and traditions of Eid.

Entry is free, and attendees can look forward to a lively atmosphere with music, shopping, and cultural performances.

This event highlights the strong community bonds among Indians in Qatar and showcases the rich cultural heritage of India. The ICC’s Eid Bazaar has become a much-anticipated annual tradition, fostering unity and festive joy.
