Indian Cultural Society Kuwait Celebrates Indo-Kuwait Friendship with Musical Extravaganza ‘Dil Ki Awaaz’: The Indian Cultural Society (ICS), Kuwait, presented a memorable musical extravaganza, “Dil Ki Awaaz – A Tribute to Indo-Kuwait Friendship,” on Friday, October 2, 2026, celebrating the enduring friendship between India and Kuwait and commemorating Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary.

The event brought together artists, community leaders, business representatives, sponsors and members of the Indian expatriate community for an evening of music, dance, cultural exchange and patriotic spirit. The programme also highlighted ICS’s commitment to promoting social welfare and community harmony through quality entertainment.

Young playback singer and performer Alamgir Khan headlined the evening, accompanied by Aamir Khan and Nishtha Pathak. Their soulful melodies, engaging performances and energetic stage presence captivated the audience, creating an atmosphere of nostalgia, celebration and cultural pride.

Music Celebrates India-Kuwait Friendship

The programme began with a prayer song, followed by expressions of gratitude to the Royal Family and the Government of Kuwait for their continued support and for providing a welcoming environment for cultural exchange and community activities.

The event was inaugurated by distinguished Kuwaiti actress and singer Hind Al Baloushi, who delighted the audience with a beautiful musical performance.

Esteemed guests Sultan Al Kandary and Mubarak Al Rashed addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of cultural exchange, mutual respect and friendship in strengthening relations between India and Kuwait.

Local artistic talent also received the spotlight. Vinod Pandir of Rhydhoonn, Rupali, Subhashish and Sangeet delivered impressive performances that were warmly received by the audience.

Adding colour and vibrancy to the evening, the talented performers of The Dancing Divas presented captivating dance performances inspired by India’s rich cultural heritage. Young students also took to the stage, showcasing their enthusiasm, confidence and artistic potential.

Alamgir Khan Captivates the Audience

The evening’s star attraction, Alamgir Khan, won the hearts of music lovers with his mellifluous voice, soulful renditions and dynamic stage presence.

His performance took the audience on a memorable musical journey through popular melodies, bringing together different generations of music enthusiasts. Accompanied by Aamir Khan and Nishtha Pathak, he helped create an atmosphere filled with excitement, emotion and celebration.

The programme culminated in a powerful patriotic finale, with the singers joining Alamgir Khan in performing the iconic song:

“Dil Diya Hai, Jaan Bhi Denge, Ae Watan Tere Liye!”

The stirring performance brought the evening to an emotional close, reinforcing the themes of patriotism, friendship and unity that defined the celebration.

Felicitation of Community Leaders and Souvenir Release

A special highlight of the programme was the felicitation of Shaik A. Rahiman, Chairman of the Indian Community School, Kuwait, and Ashok Kalra, Managing Director of the Mughal Mahal Group. The guest artist and his team honoured them in recognition of their distinguished contributions.

The occasion also witnessed the release of the Indian Cultural Society’s commemorative souvenir in the presence of distinguished guests, sponsors, community leaders and other dignitaries.

Among the prominent personalities attending the event were Praveen Singh, Director – Financial Services, Al Mulla Group; Govind Rasam, Vice President, Square Yards; Muneer Mamoon, General Manager, Al Babtain Auto; Ayyoob Kachery, Director, Grand Hypermarket; S. Dawoud, Managing Director, Deccan Palace Restaurant; Sharafudheen Kanneth, CEO, Medx Medical Group; and James Paul, owner of KRI Co.

The event also attracted marketing representatives from leading organisations, including Caesars Foods & Confectionary, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Z & M General Trading Co., Bhasin Co., Al Mailem Group, Al Ansari Exchange, Sahara Air Conditioning Co. and Hotel Park Inn.

Meena Khan and RJ Rachna from The Queen Club were also present, adding to the gathering’s community and entertainment presence.

All participating artists and contributors received ICS mementoes as tokens of appreciation for their contributions to the programme.
