The Silicon Valley-based organization emphasized its vision to cultivate a culture of collaboration and innovation within the global engineering community. Dr. K. Srikar Reddy, India’s Consul General in San Francisco, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Dr. Shailendra Joshi, former chief secretary and advisor to the Government of Telangana, India, delivered the keynote address.

During his speech, Dr. Reddy underscored the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) on the global economy, citing a recent report by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He highlighted the strategic partnership between the US and Indian governments in advancing education and emerging technologies through joint research initiatives.

Dr. Joshi delved into the opportunities and challenges posed by AI, emphasizing its potential to address critical issues in healthcare, climate, and beyond. He commended the diverse participation of individuals from around the world in the event.

Shachindra Nath, co-founder of IEWB, expressed the organization’s commitment to uniting Indian engineers worldwide to tackle global challenges and drive sustainable innovation through engineering solutions. Amit Sarkar, a key planner of the initiative, announced plans for creating an AI learning ecosystem and launching 50,000 AI-focused startup accelerators.

With 1100 members and eight chapters spanning four continents, IEWB aims to harness the collective expertise of Indian engineers to address global challenges and drive innovation.
