“Jolly LLB 3” Surpasses “Sitaare Zameen Par” and “Baaghi 4,” Becomes 7th Biggest Day-One Opening of 2025: kshay Kumar’s courtroom comedy, Jolly LLB 3, has made a powerful start at the box office. The film not only surpassed Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par but also edged past Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4, thereby clinching the spot as the 7th biggest Day-One opening of 2025.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, on its release day, Jolly LLB 3 collected an impressive ₹12.50 crore across India. By comparison, Sitaare Zameen Par had earned ₹10.20 crore, while Baaghi 4 recorded slightly lower numbers. This strong performance underscores Akshay Kumar’s enduring box-office appeal and reaffirms his ability to draw audiences despite stiff competition.
The film began with modest morning occupancy of around 10 percent. However, as the day progressed, afternoon and evening shows saw a remarkable surge in footfalls, pushing collections higher. Still, it fell just short of Jolly LLB 2’s benchmark, which had scored nearly ₹13 crore on its opening day in 2017.
Adding to its momentum, advance bookings for Jolly LLB 3 had already generated about ₹3.23 crore gross, reflecting strong pre-release anticipation. Fans flocked to theaters eager to watch Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi reprise their celebrated roles.
Trade experts believe positive word-of-mouth and strong online buzz significantly boosted the film after a lukewarm start. With the weekend ahead, Jolly LLB 3 is expected to maintain steady growth. Whether it can eventually challenge the benchmarks of its predecessor remains uncertain, but the film has already carved a winning spot among the year’s top performers.
