Khushyali Family Day Brings Excitement to Libertyville, Illinois– The Sports Center at 1950 US-45 in Libertyville buzzed with excitement on Sunday, June 30, as it hosted the Khushyali Family Day Celebration. This all-day event, free for all attendees, welcomed members and their families to a day packed with activities, entertainment, and learning.
The Midwest Ismaili Pipe Band greeted guests with vibrant music as they arrived, setting a festive tone for the day. Activities commenced at 10:00 am and continued until 5:30 pm, ensuring a full schedule of fun and engagement.
The entire Midwest Jamat was invited, and the turnout reflected the community’s enthusiasm for such gatherings. From the outset, the event promised something for everyone, making it a memorable day for attendees of all ages.
Celebrating Imamat Day
Imamat Day, also known as Khushali, is celebrated by Nizari Ismaili Shiʿi Muslims to mark the anniversary of the day that their present (Hazar) Imam Aga Khan IV succeeded his predecessor to become the Imam of the Time. This significant occasion was commemorated through the Khushyali Family Day Celebration, reinforcing the community’s unity and devotion.
