The event drew a large and diverse crowd, including families, students, travel enthusiasts, and members of the diplomatic and Indian business community.

Organised as part of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 initiative, the carnival served as a dynamic platform to showcase Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage while also highlighting the strengthening economic and industrial ties between Malaysia and India.

Addressing attendees, Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, said the event symbolised the deep-rooted people-to-people connections between the two nations. “Through culture, cuisine, and shared experiences, we aim to bring Malaysia closer to our friends in India and invite them to explore the many wonders our country has to offer,” he noted.
Echoing this sentiment, Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali, Director of Tourism Malaysia in New Delhi, described the carnival as both a cultural showcase and an open invitation to Indian travellers. He emphasised Malaysia’s appeal as a preferred holiday destination, offering diverse experiences ranging from pristine islands and nature to shopping, cuisine, and multicultural harmony.
