Omani Jewellery Brand AMTUR Gold & Diamonds Expands into Qatar with 14th Branch: Oman-based jewellery and bullion brand AMTUR Gold & Diamonds has expanded its regional footprint with the opening of its 14th branch in Qatar, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth and international expansion strategy.
The new branch officially opened on September 6, 2026, representing AMTUR’s first expansion into the Qatari market and another step in its ambition to take an Omani-built jewellery brand into markets across the GCC and beyond.
The expansion builds on AMTUR’s presence in Oman through its network of gold and diamond jewellery showrooms, bullion outlets and related precious-metals activities. The company has positioned itself around craftsmanship, product quality, transparency, competitive pricing and professional customer service.
Taking an Omani Brand to the GCC
The entry into Qatar is part of AMTUR’s broader strategy to establish a stronger regional and international presence while maintaining its Omani identity.
The company said its growth is rooted in its experience in the Sultanate of Oman, where it has developed its jewellery and bullion business and built relationships with customers seeking gold, diamonds and precious-metal products.
Commenting on the opening, Sameer Khan, Managing Director of AMTUR Gold & Diamonds, described the Qatar launch as a major milestone for the company.
“This is a truly proud moment for the entire AMTUR family. The opening of our 14th branch in Qatar marks more than another landmark in our growth journey; it represents a significant step in taking an Omani brand onto the international stage,” Khan said.
Khan also expressed gratitude to Oman for providing the foundation and opportunities that enabled the company to grow.
“From Oman to Qatar—and onward to the world—AMTUR Gold & Diamonds brings together timeless gold creations and contemporary diamond design, carrying excellence to new markets,” he said.
Qatar as the Next Growth Market
Qatar represents a strategically important market for jewellery and precious-metal businesses because of its established luxury retail sector and strong GCC consumer base.
For AMTUR, establishing a presence in Qatar provides an opportunity to introduce its collections and services to a new customer market while strengthening connections within the wider Gulf region.
The company’s expansion also reflects the growing movement of Omani businesses beyond the domestic market as regional companies seek opportunities across the GCC.
Building on Omani Heritage
AMTUR’s expansion strategy places its Omani origins at the centre of its international identity.
The company says it aims to combine traditional gold craftsmanship with contemporary diamond designs, while maintaining an emphasis on quality, transparency and customer service.
Its business includes jewellery and bullion operations, giving the company exposure to both the retail jewellery market and the broader precious-metals sector.
The Qatar opening brings AMTUR’s branch network to 14 locations, reinforcing its position as an expanding Omani jewellery and bullion brand.
