My name is Ayesha Vali a retired teacher residing in Dallas, Texas. I am proud to be an Indian American who has lived the values of education, integrity, and community service. As someone who has witnessed the struggles of ordinary people both in the United States and around the world, I am writing this letter not to criticize but to understand your views on several pressing topics.
Your leadership journey is an inspiration for many, but I hope you can address these questions and provide clarity as you campaign to become the next President of the United States.
What is your stance on universal healthcare?
Many Americans believe that healthcare is a basic human right. Do you support universal healthcare for all citizens? What would your administration do to make healthcare affordable, especially for seniors and low-income families?
Addressing student debt and making education affordable.
Student loan debt is a major burden on many Americans, and the rising cost of education puts college out of reach for many. What is your plan to address student debt and make education more affordable for all?
Improving the middle class and supporting seniors.
Many middle-class families, seniors, and individuals on Social Security, Medicaid, and SSI struggle with the rising cost of living. What are your plans to provide tax relief and improve these social programs to ease their burdens?
Representation of women and minorities in your cabinet.
If elected, how many women do you plan to appoint in key positions such as the UN, ambassadorships, or government agencies? Will you also include Muslims and other minorities to reflect America’s diversity?
Your stance on immigration reform.
Immigration remains a hot-button issue. What is your plan for both legal immigration and curbing illegal immigration while maintaining compassion?
Balancing campaign focus beyond abortion rights.
While reproductive rights are essential, many Americans are looking for broader solutions to economic challenges, security issues, and quality of life improvements. What concrete plans do you have beyond abortion rights to address these issues?
What is your plan for the Palestinian people?
Since October 7th of last year, over 40,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in what many are calling a genocide. There has been no meaningful resolution, and the humanitarian crisis deepens. How do you envision a just future for the Palestinian people?
Why continue supporting Israel with arms?
The United States has a long-standing relationship with Israel. However, with countless innocent children and civilians killed, why does the administration continue resupplying arms? What do you see as the path forward to balance US-Israel relations while ensuring the protection of human life?
What is your peace strategy for the Middle East?
With increasing tensions between Iran and Israel, there are growing fears of a wider conflict or even World War III. How do you plan to navigate these challenges? How will you convince voters that you have the experience and foresight to lead effectively in these troubled times?
How will you keep the US dollar strong amidst BRICS’ rise?
With BRICS gaining prominence, how will you ensure the US dollar remains the standard international currency and maintain America’s global financial influence?
Your thoughts on the Green Party’s promises.
The Green Party has gained attention with ambitious policies. What do you think of their promises, and how would you balance environmental priorities without alienating economic interests?
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing your responses. Your positions on these issues will help many of us decide how to cast our vote in the upcoming election.
With respect,
Ayesha Vali
