The story follows Lakshminarayan, a young man grieving the death of his mother. His search for answers about life, death and suffering takes him on a spiritual journey through North India, ultimately leading to his transformation into the revered spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba.
The film is also described as a biographical devotional drama based on Chaturvedi’s book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life.

The film is produced by Ragini S, Namrata G. Singh, Anupriya A. Nagar and Vishal Chaturvedi. Moneycontrol reported that the production was completed on a reported budget of approximately ₹2 crore.
Telugu Release Expands the Film’s Reach
The October 9 Telugu release gives Hanuman Ansh an opportunity to connect with audiences beyond its original Hindi-language market.
Its strong Hindi theatrical performance and ₹400 crore-plus worldwide gross have generated additional attention around the Telugu version. The release also places Hombale Films behind the theatrical expansion of a film that has developed significant momentum during its extended cinema run.
Hombale Films, known for backing major Indian film projects including the KGF, Kantara and Salaar franchises, is also developing a slate that includes Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, Suriya 48, Mahavatar Parshuram and an upcoming project with Hrithik Roshan.
With Hanuman Ansh already having crossed the ₹414 crore worldwide mark, the October 9 Telugu release will take the Neem Karoli Baba story to a new audience base while the original film continues its theatrical journey.
