‘Hanuman Ansh’ Records Extraordinary 7,275% Jump on Fourth Friday, Shows Surge Across India: The film ‘Hanuman Ansh’ is rewriting the rules of the Indian box office, recording an extraordinary 7,275% increase in its fourth-Friday business compared with its opening day, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

In a post on X, Adarsh highlighted the film’s unusual growth trajectory, noting that ‘Hanuman Ansh’ earned ₹8 lakh on Day 1, while its Day 22, or fourth Friday, collections reached ₹5.90 crore.

The dramatic increase has emerged as one of the most striking examples of late-stage box-office momentum in recent times.

From 276 Shows to 850 Shows

The film’s growth is not limited to collections. Its theatrical show count has also expanded significantly across India.

According to Adarsh:

  • Week 1 Friday: 276 shows
  • Week 4 Friday: 850 shows
  • Fourth Friday: ₹5.90 crore
  • Total India Nett: ₹17.60 crore

The increase from 276 shows during the opening Friday to 850 shows on the fourth Friday represents a remarkable expansion in theatrical presence.

Word of Mouth Drives the Turnaround

Adarsh described the fourth-Friday performance as an “eye-opener,” attributing the film’s unusual trajectory to the strength of its content and word-of-mouth appreciation.

Typically, films experience their strongest theatrical business during the opening weekend, followed by a gradual decline as screens and shows are reduced. ‘Hanuman Ansh’ has followed an unusual reverse trajectory, gaining momentum weeks after its release.

The film’s Day 22 performance has therefore become particularly significant, with the fourth Friday generating substantially more business than its opening day.

A Rare Box-Office Story

The numbers underline the unpredictable nature of theatrical exhibition, where audience response can sometimes transform a film’s commercial prospects long after release.

The jump from ₹8 lakh on Day 1 to ₹5.90 crore on Day 22 demonstrates how sustained audience interest and positive word of mouth can potentially translate into increased shows and stronger collections.

With ₹17.60 crore in official India nett box-office collections by the end of Week 4, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ has emerged as an unusual box-office story—one in which the film’s theatrical journey gained significant momentum rather than slowing down.

For an industry increasingly focused on opening-day numbers, the performance offers a reminder that content, audience response and word of mouth can still reshape a film’s box-office journey weeks after its release.
