Affordable Travel from UAE to Oman Bus Route Unveiled at Dh50 Fare

UAE

As winter draws near, travelers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can now embark on an exciting adventure to explore the captivating landscape of Musandam. Nestled amidst picturesque hills, the azure waters of Musandam are set to become more accessible, thanks to the introduction of the region’s first international public bus service.

Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) unveiled this groundbreaking initiative, aimed at connecting Ras Al Khaimah with the Governorate of Musandam in the Sultanate of Oman. The announcement was made via X/Twitter, generating significant excitement among UAE residents and tourists alike.

The new bus service is set to commence operations from the main bus station at Al Dhait South in Ras Al Khaimah. Along its route, the bus will make two stops within the Emirates, allowing travelers to board at Al Rams and the Shaam area. Once it crosses into the Musandam Governorate, the service will embark and terminate at the Wilayat of Khasab, making essential stops at Tibaat, Wilayat of Bukha, Harf, and the Qada area along the way.

For the convenience of travelers, two journeys have been scheduled daily, departing at 8 am and 6 pm, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The entire travel time for this picturesque journey is estimated to be approximately three hours.

To make this experience accessible to all, the one-way fare for the journey has been set at an affordable Dh50. Tickets can be conveniently booked through RAKTA’s official website, the RAKBUS application, on the bus, or at the bus station, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience.

The historic agreement that paved the way for this groundbreaking service was officially signed between RAKTA and the Municipality of Musandam on August 30, 2023.

Starting from October 6, 2023, this new international bus route promises to be a game-changer for travelers seeking to explore the natural beauty and scenic wonders of Musandam, further strengthening the ties between the UAE and Oman while promoting tourism and connectivity in the region.
