IMA Kuwait Concludes 10-Day Seerah Campaign with Twin Jalsa-e-Seerat-un-Nabi Gatherings: The Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait has concluded its 10-day Seerah Campaign with two simultaneous Jalsa-e-Seerat-un-Nabi gatherings, bringing together community members, families and young people to reflect on the life, character and teachings of Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The concluding programmes were held on August 27, 2026, at Maryam Masjid in Mahboula and Masjid Adsani in Maliya, Kuwait City, under the patronage of the Foreign Relations Department of Kuwait’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

The programmes focused on two central themes: “Building a Better Society Through the Teachings of the Seerah” and “Raising the Next Generation Through the Seerah.”

Emphasis on building a better society

The first theme was addressed by Islamic scholars and khateebs Moulana Sifat Alam at Maliya and Moulana Irfan Nadvi at Mahboula.

Their discussions focused on the role of faith, prayer, the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah in developing individuals and communities. They also highlighted the importance of good character, unity, brotherhood and social responsibility in creating a stronger society.

Speakers emphasised that meaningful social reform begins with individual character and responsible community participation. They also described the mosque as not only a place of worship but as a centre for learning, guidance and constructive social development.

Preparing the next generation

The second theme, “Raising the Next Generation Through the Seerah,” was presented by Moulana Umar Falahi at Maliya and Moulana Waleed Umri at Mahboula.

The sessions examined the challenges facing young people today, including excessive dependence on social media, loss of purpose and moral distractions. Speakers argued that education and technology provide valuable opportunities, but must be complemented by strong character, faith, wisdom and a sense of purpose.

The speakers also highlighted examples of young companions of Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) including Abdullah ibn Abbas, Aisha, Muadh ibn Jabal, Usama ibn Zaid and Ali, as examples of how young people can develop leadership, knowledge and courage when entrusted with responsibility and given appropriate guidance.

The role of parents was another key focus. Speakers described the home as the first school of character and encouraged parents to lead by example while helping young people use technology constructively.

Youth add cultural dimension

Students from IMA Summer Islamic Classes presented an Islamic nasheed during the Masjid Adsani programme. The performance was warmly received and added a cultural and spiritual dimension to the gathering.

The events also included separate arrangements for women, while dinner packets were distributed at the conclusion of the programmes, providing an opportunity for families and community members to interact and strengthen social bonds.

Seerah as a guide for contemporary life

The two gatherings brought the 10-day IMA Kuwait Seerah Campaign to a close with a message that the Seerah should not be viewed simply as a historical account, but as a source of guidance for personal character, family life, community development and responsible living.

The campaign sought to encourage participants to translate Prophetic values into everyday conduct and to build stronger individuals and communities while nurturing a purposeful and morally grounded younger generation.

The successful conclusion of the campaign reflects IMA Kuwait’s continuing efforts to engage families and youth through educational, spiritual and community-focused programmes.
