Karnataka Sangha Qatar Celebrates World Environment Day with Enthusiastic Participation. Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm at Al Handasa Compound and Brilliant Indian International School. The event featured the planting of saplings and a drawing competition focused on environmental themes for the children of the Sangha.

An impressive 72 children participated in the drawing competition. They showcased their talents with spectacular artwork based on three different themes. The competition was judged by Guest Vaishnavi Shreenivasan. Chief Guest Baburajan, the Former ICC President, praised KSQ’s ongoing initiatives. Vice President Ramesh KS welcomed the gathering, setting a positive tone for the event.

In his address, President Ravi Shetty emphasized the importance of preserving Mother Earth. He urged everyone to plant trees whenever and wherever possible, highlighting the vital role of individual efforts in environmental conservation.

The event was further graced by the presence of notable figures including Advisory Chairman Mahesh Gowda, ICC Vice President Subramanya Hebbagilu, Advisors Arun Kumar, V S Mannangi, H K Madhu, Dr. Sanjay Kudari, ICC Former President Milan Arun, and Presidents and MC members of various Karnataka-based associations. Their presence and words of encouragement greatly motivated the participants.

Joint Secretary L G Patil concluded the event with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all those involved. Environment & Logistics Secretary Shashidhar H B anchored the closing ceremony and coordinated the event with precision. Mrs. Bhuvana Suraj, Ladies and Children Coordinator, along with all MC members and volunteers, played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the event.
