The Pakistani American Association of Tampa Bay (PAA Tampa Bay) is pleased to announce its 2024 Board (list below). The local group, which was founded in 1991 is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that serves the Pakistani American community in the Tampa Bay area. The organization is dedicated to promoting the Pakistani culture, heritage, and traditions across Tampa, as well as fostering a sense of community among Pakistani Americans in the area.
One of the key goals of the PAA Tampa Bay is to promote intercultural understanding and to build bridges between the Pakistani American community and the broader Tampa Bay community. To this end, the organization collaborates with other community organizations and participates in local events and festivals.
Mehwish Raja is the group’s new President. She is an SVP Data Integration Lead Analyst at Citigroup and is excited to lead the PAA.

The Board is comprised of individuals who have a strong commitment to serve the PAA Tampa Bay. Our future plans include expanding community outreach and forging strategic partnerships to enhance our impact and broaden our reach across Tampa Bay. Community support plays a vital role in our mission’s success and is instrumental in creating meaningful positive change. We are looking forward to a great year ahead.”

The past two years marked a remarkable revival for PAA Tampa Bay, setting the stage for new beginnings. Passing the baton to Mehwish Raja, I am excited to continue as an advisor, offering guidance and support. Our vision involves building strong relationships with other Tampa Bay associations, creating opportunities for the thriving Pakistani community. The upcoming years will unveil a reinvigorated PAA Tampa Bay. Congratulations to the new team, and I extend my best wishes for a year even more successful than the last.”
