President Trump Endorses Vivek Ramaswamy for Ohio Governor: President Donald Trump has officially endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor of Ohio, calling him “a GREAT Governor” and giving him his “Complete and Total Endorsement.”
Ramaswamy, the entrepreneur-turned-politician who ran in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, had suspended his campaign early last year and later endorsed Trump. Since then, he has become one of Trump’s closest allies and confidants.
In a post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump praised Ramaswamy as “Young, Strong, and Smart,” adding, “He is something SPECIAL… and he will never let you down!” The former president described him as “a very good person” who “truly loves the United States.”
Trump Highlights Economic and Security Priorities
Outlining his reasons for the endorsement, Trump said Ramaswamy would “fight tirelessly to grow the economy, cut taxes and regulations, promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., champion American energy dominance, and keep our border secure.”
He further emphasized that Ramaswamy would “stop migrant crime, strengthen our military and veterans, ensure law and order, advance election integrity, and protect our always under siege Second Amendment.”
From Biotech to Politics
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Vivek Ramaswamy graduated in Biology from Harvard University and later earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Yale Law School. He founded Roivant Sciences, a biotech firm that successfully developed five FDA-approved drugs, establishing his reputation as a visionary entrepreneur before entering politics.
During the 2024 presidential race, Ramaswamy gained national attention for his bold ideas and energetic campaign. After Trump’s election victory, he was appointed—along with Elon Musk—to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). However, Ramaswamy resigned in January, just hours after Trump assumed office, to focus on his gubernatorial campaign.
Ramaswamy’s Vision for Ohio
In his campaign speeches, Ramaswamy has repeatedly emphasized his goal to make Ohio the top state for business growth, family life, and education. “I want Ohio to be the place where we give young people the tools to be victors, not victims, in a global economy,” he said.
He envisions Ohio as a “State of Excellence”—a hub of innovation in sectors such as aerospace, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors. He also pledges to “take a hatchet to red tape and regulations” and transform Ohio into a magnet for innovators and patriots alike.
“Instead of moving to Florida or Texas, Americans will flock to Ohio,” Ramaswamy declared, underscoring his belief in the state’s untapped potential.
With Trump’s powerful endorsement, Ramaswamy’s campaign is expected to gain significant momentum as the Ohio governor’s race heats up.
