Sania Mirza from Uttar Pradesh will become the first Muslim woman fighter pilot in Indian Air Force (IAF)

Hailing from UP, Sania Mirza will become the first Muslim woman fighter pilot in Indian Air Force (IAF) as she secured the 149th rank in the NDA exam held in April 2022.

Sania will also be the first pilot from Uttar Pradesh when she completes her NDA training. A daughter of a TV mechanic and a resident of Mirzapur, Sania Mirza managed to secure a seat in her second attempt and is soon expected to join the NDA Khadakwasla, Pune, where she will undergo a rigorous 3-year training regiment

Sania Mirza has been a dedicated student who has be a district topper in the 12th UP Board exams, studied in Hindi medium till the 10th class.

Since there are only two seats reserved for women in the National Defense Academy exams 2022, Sania failed to grab a seat on the first attempt. Ever so resilient, she finally got one in her second attempt.

On 27th December, she will join Khadakwasla National Defense Academy in Pune. She has brought pride to not only her village but to the state as well. Sania would be the first from Uttar Pradesh to become an IAF pilot.

Sania Mirza attributed her parents to her success and also gave credit to Centurion Defense Academy.
