Pakistani High Commission hosts Macquarie University students, faculty in Canberra on Monday, April 22, 2024. The group, representing various faculties, engaged in an interactive session with High Commissioner Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri.

During the session, High Commissioner Chaudhri provided insights into Pakistan’s socio-economic and political landscape, emphasizing its strategic importance and foreign policy objectives. The students actively participated in a question-and-answer session, seeking clarification on Pakistan’s foreign policy, economic potential, and bilateral relations with Australia.

Chaudhri highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to peace and security in the region, addressing issues such as the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. He also discussed Pakistan’s economic prospects, including its natural resources and burgeoning Information Technology sector. Additionally, he emphasized the mutually beneficial nature of Pakistan-Australia diplomatic ties, citing opportunities for collaboration and synergy between the two nations’ economies.

The visit served as an opportunity for the students to gain a deeper understanding of Pakistan’s diverse landscape and diplomatic relations.
