Their broken-down jeep forces them into a chilling retreat. Consequently, the lodge becomes a symbolic threshold where each character must confront personal sins, illusions, and unresolved conflicts before moving forward. Shot entirely in the majestic landscape of Himachal Pradesh, the 90-minute film features powerful performances by Vinay Pathak, Shalmalee Vaidya, and Rachita Arke.
A Growing Connection with Australia
“Bayaar” already holds a meaningful presence in Australia. It was selected as an Official Entry at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM360), reinforcing its relevance to both Australian cinephiles and the Indian diaspora.
Furthermore, Director Anshul Tiwari’s earlier film, “Before Life After Death”, premiered at the Singapore International Film Festival and was later acquired by Netflix for streaming across Asia Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand. Director’s Vision
“From dust we come, unto dust we go. We are travellers in the wind,” says Director Anshul Tiwari. He describes the film as an exploration of an alternate reality, one that examines life through the lens of death. Moreover, he challenges the traditional fear of mortality by portraying death as a moment of acceptance, clarity, and forgiveness.
