Mahatma Gandhi: A Beacon of Inspiration
Mahatma Gandhi, a pivotal figure in India’s struggle for independence, employed non-violent resistance to lead his country to freedom from British rule. His philosophy of Satyagraha, emphasizing truth and non-violence, became a powerful tool against oppression.
Gandhi’s commitment to peaceful protest and social justice made him a global icon, inspiring leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela. Both King and Mandela adopted Gandhi’s principles to fight racial inequality and apartheid in their respective countries. Gandhi’s legacy continues to serve as a role model for activists worldwide, advocating for change through non-violent means.
